Presidential Appointment

I am pleased to provide you with this update on the presidential appointment process. The Appointment Committee has updated the position description and candidate criteria (see below). President Hall has reflected on these revised documents, and he has confirmed his willingness to be considered for reappointment to the position. 

Next steps for the Committee

The next step in the process is for the committee to consider President Hall for reappointment in light of the updated position description and candidate criteria with a view to making a recommendation to the Board of Governors. The committee will assess his past performance in the context of the future direction of the university, taking into account information collected through multiple sources such as direct feedback and references, performance reviews from the Board, and an advisory ballot.

The Office of the University Secretary is available to answer any questions about the reappointment process, eligibility for voting, or the feedback process. They can also assist with accessibility requirements, including the submission of audio/video feedback and alternate methods of voting.
